Another day another whimsical adventure in the adventure time multiverse, where it can rain daggers, and pillow forts can become enchanted portals to other worlds.
This episode is, something else. It’s blatantly serious and blatantly mythological and blatantly whimsical and only had a couple chuckles. I feel confused and cold, not wrapped in the embrace of whimsical imagined nostalgia and epics like usual, but aware of consequences, adulthood, and very aware of the non linear and ill defined nature of life itself, how you can just, have it all go by, meander here and there in a journey, and only see what matters and lean where you want it to, only in moments of reflection, but then get swept up again, some things float through and life happens wherever it takes you, and we live with that, and the things that happen.
Also FINN HAS TOO MANY DARN CHILDREN AND HE’S ONLY LIKE 15.
Further by the next episode they’ll be dead so don’t worry. MUAHAHAHA you feel-ers
I lie on the floor of my cave, talking to gunter. I’ve got lots of drawings to show you guys here on the internet! These are kind of personal… Don’t be too hard on them!
For the people that want a high res version of the painting on the wall speculated to be finn’s mother from The Creeps in Adventure Time.

I don’t personally buy this theory but it’d be interesting if it were the case nevertheless. Hope this helps if you didn’t have it already :)

Ice King’s Crown
“I MADE THAT CROWN! WITH MAGIC THAT I STOLE!” -Ice King, What have you done
These are the memories of the Ice King Magi himself, not of Simon, perhaps some insight. The crown probably has properties beyond the gems themselves, along with a Lord of the Rings/horcrux power to inhabit a host with the soul of the Ice King, that the original maker poured into the crown, making the wearer crazy. Whereas the gems in the other crowns were just important and not stolen to make a tool for evil. I am concerned for Simon’s health without the main power of the crown. Will he deteriorate especially without a true heart. We shall have to see.
The Lich
I am of the personal belief at this point in time that the Lich King is an Ooo era magic user who like a voldemort, was a afraid to die, and used magic to bind his soul to his corpse, so as to live forever and now seeks to make himself stronger and be evil as he was in life, he is the most powerful Lich. Though Gunther and Hunson are more evil, the Lich is the most destructive and has quickly become a threat to all life. I see him as a caveat to the renaissance of magic and fantasy that Ooo (Earth) has experienced since the departure of mankind. Those who will use magic will abuse it.
Other Thoughts
I am interested in the Enchiridion’s past. And whether Glob is transcendent across the muliverse, or if they are only the wisest etc being in our realm, Glob’s relation to Prismo. Where Lumpy Space is. The extent of the power of the dreamscape, (accessed by many, calling astral beasts, and talking to the cosmic owl, and seeing croak dreams, and the return of the lich by PB), and if Billy is dead. But knowing Adventure Time, none of it will ever be directly adressed :D
This episode has forced me to write theory. Some things people need to keep in mind.
Now my theory. A lot has been said so I will try to avoid repeating what others have stated. A show with a universe of this depth already, being revealed to have a mulitverse, is mind boggling and I can barely touch this. At the end of the episode we witness a dimension a 1000 years in the future where the war never happened and all that that implies for the resurgence of magic and earth being a player on the galactic stage. Even if it’s regarded as a wilderness by the council of super beings on mars, at least it’s regarded at all.
The evidence for it being in sync with Ooo 1000 years in the future and not present day (near future aka simon’s time even though robot arm finn would be possible in that era) is that “temporal syncs” occur when worm holes are formed between the veres as Book-O said.
The Lich probably wants to get to the “Time Room” the dwelling of the almighty Prismo. If he can destroy there, all reality would probably collapse and he would live forever there separate from time. Living forever seemed to be his deal before this episode voldemort style.
Anyway I hope Billy isn’t dead. This show is amazing. Good Night
